This department announced also there is 10 centers now for issuing halal certification and each have their own process and rules. Halal products of Belgium are distributing by traditional sources like butcheries or local groceries but this report shows there is a need for vast produce and distribution networks. Last research shows there are 630,000 Muslims in Belgium. So it seems the capacity of halal market is much more than estimation of department of agriculture.
