This European-Asian country hopes to makes the role of this industry much more important in his economy. Halal world organization reported. 

“Turkey is a big country and should make a bigger role in Halal industry market.” Hussein Kami Buyukozer, the head of food research and verification center in turkey told.Muslims just legitimate fleshes which have been slaughtered in accordance with Islamic rules. However nowadays there are services and goods also which can be considering as Halal like cosmetics, drugs and financial services.

Because of the lack of a halal verification system in turkey, the council of research and verification food center in turkey aims to do this job.

“Asian countries are so sensitive towards halal products, but Muslim countries should try to bring inside this industry from western countries and turkey can has an effective role in this case. This new forum analyses the process of food preparation in accordance with halal standards as well as verifying halal standards in labeling, transportation and packaging.

This new approach had been taken after Akmaluddin Ihsan Oglu, the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), called for wipe the concerns of Muslim community for consuming halal products. Turkey wants to participate in a market which its value reaches to 2 billion dollars.

This forum also encounters with challenges of accepting the halal food conception in this country by people. Recently this forum held a Bazaar in Istanbul to promote the comprehension of Muslim females of halal food.

 “We want women to consider more cautiously the ingredients of their cooking.” Marva Bustan, the assistant of women commission told.

Also it is supposed some seminars to be hold about halal and choosing foods with halal certification in this country. Turkey intends to hold a fair in Istanbul in October to reach to his goal of 500 billion dollar export value up to 2023.
